Brilliant pale yellow in colour with green highlights. Expressive nose with
aromas of white flowers, apricot and peach complemented by a hint of nougat and
hazelnut. The palate is full-bodied and complex, allying maturity and freshness
with notes of baked goods, candied fruit and yuzu.
Located just to the west of Meursault, at a slightly higher altitude, the village of Saint-Romain produces affordable wines that express all of the characteristics of the great white wines of the Côte de Beaune, renowned for being the world’s most prized region for the production of Chardonnay.
The grapes are handpicked and vinified in French oak barrels (20% new oak) at low temperatures using indigenous yeasts for 1 to 3 months. Ageing in the same lightly toasted barrels lasts approximately 15 months. Only 2 898 bottles produced.
